When it rains, it pours...
You never know where life will take you. Look at me, I am half way around the world from where I grew up. Back in 2000 if you told me that I'd be living in Australia in 2005, I wouldn't have believed you. I guess this is the fate for Aquarians? Constantly on the move, looking out for the next adventure? Sometimes, I hope it isn't so. That, what is destined for me isn't written in the stars or foreseen by the fortune tellers. At other times, I just want the quiet life. Me, an orchard, some chickens, and a veggie patch. (It could happen!) Really, I am trying to decide what I want to be when I grow up. I want to settle down, but then if I settle down, will I be happy? If anyone out there has some thoughts on this, please let me know. I would love to hear how you've dealt with the pull of two different directions in life.
I have also been back to the gym on a regular basis again. Feelin great! I should have discovered this fact back in my twenties. Takes all the stress out of school and life in general. That and a beer with good mates helps too. Har har. I'd never thought I would come around to appreciate beer. Come on, beer! What happened to me?! Who are you and what have you done with me?
General observations: there is pleasure in giving pleasure to others. I hope everyone has discovered this fact by now in their life. If you haven't, give it a try. I must admit, though, I knew some aspect of this in my youth, but it wasn't until this year, I think, that this philosophy really made more sense.
Have you ever noticed that when your life is pretty normal, almost routine, nothing happens. But as soon as one catastrophe occurs, all the rest of the shit just hits the fan. What's up with that?! Why couldn't the shitty things in life just come around when your life's more calm and you can have time to deal with it. No! It's like they line up and put out the call when one thing happens-they all coming rushing in. And you can't swat at them fast enough. They's a comin' and it's all you can do to hold on for dear life.
I hope the rest of you reading this out there, that this week has been more peaceful for you!
